Transition to college after high school

About Summer Bridge
Summer Bridge is an exciting opportunity for you to receive an in depth introduction
to Butte College's campus resources and services. During this week long program, you
will engage in activities and workshops that are designed to promote academic success,
student involvement and cooperative learning. Additionally, you will have a one hour
student education plan consultation with an EOPS Counselor in preparation for your
time at Butte.
Students who are accepted to the program will receive free breakfast and lunch each day along with supplies and materials to help them succeed at Butte College. They will also receive a $400 textbook voucher!
Who Attends?
This program is available for 30 students. Priority will be given to those who apply
first.
To be eligible, a student must meet the following criteria.
- Complete the FAFSA or CADA and meet the income requirements for the California College Promise Grant A or B or C and have a EFC or SAI of $0-$1500
- Be a first generation college student
- Will graduate high school prior to the start of the program
- Attending Butte College in the Fall semester and enrolled in at least 9 units
- Be able to attend all dates of the program
The application will become avaiable April 1, 2025.
